Welcome

Please find below the update for this week ~ 21st August, 2009.

Members in the News: There's no keeping Josh Stanners out of the news, this week Josh won the Frilford Heath Junior gold medal competition, keeping Josh company on the day was Adam Batty who came second.  Meanwhile Emily Marler was playing for the Bucks County girls team, Emily won 2 out of her 3 games and helped Bucks come a very close second in the overall competition.  Well done to Adam, Emily and Josh the club is very proud of your achievements this week.

Changes around the Club House: Anyone who has been in the club over the last 2 days will have seen the new doors we have had installed between the reception and the players' corridor, what a dramatic improvement.  Thank you to Holmer Green Double Glazing who installed the doors, the company is run by Pete Putnam and Andy King who are both members of the club.  Pete and Andy do residential work as well as commercial work, so if you need any double glazing work carried out please contact either Pete or Andy on HW 713134 or 717237.

Please be aware that on Sunday 23rd of August we will start to refurbish the first floor toilets adjacent to the Luke Donald Suite.  Work will start on the gents and the ladies will be completed as soon as possible thereafter.  During this period the area will be not be open to members, if you need to use the toilets during this time then please use the ones on the ground floor.

Website: Since its launch last week we have had a number of very positive results from our new website, this week we had a potential member submit an application directly from the website; two potential new members came into the club as a result of seeing our new web site, we have received an enquiry about a wine tasting event in September and an enquiry about coaching, I will keep you up to date on progress as we move forward.

Farewell to Rhonda: As I am sure most of you are aware today is Rhonda Rollins last day.  Rhonda has worked in various areas of the club over the last 10 years and has been a real help to both members and the clubs managers. Rhonda's family are relocating to Cornwall next week, she leaves with our best wishes for the future and a great big thank you for the tremendous contribution she has made to our club.

Best regards
