DATES FOR YOUR DIARY: please find below an update on activity around the club:
 
Friday Night Dining is resuming this Friday the 8th January with one of Brendan's Snack Bar Specials Menu.  See the Social Events web page or the Menu Stand in the Foyer for details of the Menu.  Details of Friday Night fine and snack dining will be issued in due course.
 
Bunker Fund Alliance - Sunday 10th January now postponed to the 7th February:  Mixed Stableford Team Competition, in aid of the Special Projects Bunker Fund.  A new booking shet will be put up in the Players' Corridor as soon as possible.  Bacon Baps and hot coffee will be served at the halfway house and Mulled Wine can be purchased from the bar.
 
Conferencing and Banqueting Showcase on Tuesday 26th January between 12 noon and 2.30pm we are holding a showcase of our Conference and Banqueting Facilities at the golf club, this will include drinks and Canapes. If your company uses Conferencing and Banqueting facilities then please considering coming along to the event, places can be reserved through Emily in the office.  If your company would be interested in using our facility but it is not your area of responsibility, please forward details of the event on to the relevant person.  If you know of anyone in your social network who would be interested please forward details to them.  Further details will be available on the conferencing section of the web site in the next couple of days.

 

Quiz Night - Friday 29th January: the booking sheets for the ever popular Quiz Night and Fish & Chips Supper is on the Social Notice Board in the Players' Corridor.  Tables of eight can be booked and guests are welcome.  Tickets are £12.00 with £2.00 going to the Special Projects Bunker Fund.
 
Casino Royale Dinner & Roulette - Saturday 13th February: This fun event will include a themed menu that Brendan is currently devising and a Roulette table which will be run by a professional croupier. Tickets will be £25.00 and include a meal and chips for the Roulette table, there will be a special prize for the person with the most chips left at the end of the evening.  More information posted on the web site and social notice board next week when a booking sheet will be available on Social Notice Board.  What a great opportunity to combine a great night out with an early valentine treat for that special person in your life.

 

Wedding Fayre on the weekend of the 27th and 28th March. Following on from the last year's successful Wedding open day, Emily is starting to arrange the Wedding Fayre over the weekend of the 27th & 28th March.  Potential exhibitors are showing interest in the event so if you, or any one in your extended family, would like more information on exhibiting please contact Emily.  

AROUND THE CLUB HOUSE
A new Snack Bar Menu will be available shortly, bar prices have been increased by a few pence to cover the new VAT rate.

 

The 2010 Diary is for sale in the bar at a cost of £2.00. All proceeds go to the Special Projects Bunker Fund.
 
SPECIAL PROJECTS LOTTO

Another gentle reminder from Toni Bourne that some of the Lotto Subscriptions for 2010 are now overdue.  Can those Lotto Members, who have not yet renewed their subscriptions, please post or leave a cheque for £52.00 in the Office for Toni's attention.  The cheques should be made payable to Hazlemere Golf Club Ltd.  Your prompt response would be much appreciated.

A New Years Message from Terry Coulson the Club Captain:

Good Morning All: I would like to take this opportunity of wishing each and every one of you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.  For those of you who were able to make the New Year's Eve Dinner I am sure you will join with me on congratulating once again Brendan and his team for putting on a great evening.  I would also like to thank you for your generosity that night in raising over £650 for our Bunker Fund.

 

We have now raised nearly £1,500 for the Bunker Fund (see detailed breakdown below) which is a fantastic start to our project launched in November.  The Greens Committee will be announcing two open forum dates later this month to discuss the project and then to prepare and publish a detailed program of works.

 

The next Bunker Fund program is the Alliance Mixed Team event on Sunday 10th January.  I would like to encourage you to take part, particularly more of our newer members. If you would like to take part but are having difficulty in putting together a team please do not hesitate to contact me or Toni Bourne.
