The bar staff are getting very lonely in the club house during these cold winter evenings. To reward members who do visit the bar between 4.30 pm and 7 pm Mondays to Thursdays over the next 4 weeks we will operate special promotional prices on beers and wines. Members will pay list price less £1 per drink.
We have decided to re-launch our junior membership package as part of this process we have re-aligned our membership rates on an age basis, the rates which will apply to new junior members are as follows:
-
Under 11 £50 per year
-
12 to 15 £150 per year
-
16 to 18 £200 per year
All existing junior members will enjoy these rates with effect from the new subscription year. There are many benefits to joining our junior sections, since taking over as junior organiser Gavin has introduced regular role-ups and free coaching that is being funded by the English Golf Union. If you know of anyone who would be interested in joining our junior section please contact Gavin.
Due to the inclement weather, it has been decided to make one last attempt to play the 6th round of the 2009 Winter Eclectic. This will take place on the weekend of the 13th and 14th February, if this has to be cancelled then the result after round 5 will stand.
A gentle reminder that the special projects team are holding a "Casino Royale Roulette Evening" it is being held on the 13th February 2010, the ticket price of £25 includes a three course dinner of:
Sundried Tomato & Mozzarella Tartlet, Pork Tenderloin filled with a raisin & thyme stuffing served on wilted kale, apple mash and a red wine jus, followed by a Grand Marnier & Raspberry Pannacotta
plus £5 of chips for the Roulette table. Sign up sheets are on the Social Notice Board in the players' corridor.
On Tuesday of next week we will be replacing both of the key pads on the player's changing room doors, we will take the opportunity to change codes at the same time. Details of the new codes will be available from the Proshop next week.
Unfortunately, the compressor that runs the shoe cleaning air lines has developed a fault so the shoe cleaners will not be operational this weekend, apologies for any inconvenience caused to members.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Regards,
Chris Mahoney
