A very warm welcome to the following new members who have joined the club since my last update:

 

David Kendal joins as a full playing member

Douglas Robertson joins as an intermediate member

Ian Clark joins as a social member

John Higgins joins as a full playing member

Michael Relf joins as a full adult member

Trevor Bravington joins as a social member

 

Membership open weekend will take place over the weekend of the 17th & 18th April. This will be an opportunity for any relations, friends, neighbours that you may have who are thinking about joining a golf club to come along enjoy a round of golf and the hospitality of the club. We want this to be a very successful weekend so please give it your full support.

 

Member's Week:  This was a great success with competitions throughout the week.  Many thanks go to Gavin and Christian for organising the week and providing the prizes.  Thanks also to Brendan, Lisle and Sam for creating the lovely buffets after the competitions.  Thanks also to the member's who raised £532 for the Captain's Bunker Fund and £102 for the Plant Fund.  The winners of the competitions were as follows:

10th Anniversary Party - 24th April:  Make sure your names are down on the booking sheet on the Social Notice Board to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the member's purchasing the golf club.  A sumptuous 3 meat fork buffet with Brendan's special salads and sides will be provided along with a choice of dessert, coffee and mints.  Then dance the night away to a Disco.

 

As we are now moving into the main playing season the SAS group have started playing on Tuesday evenings, this means that a hot meal will be available from 7.00 pm until 8.30 pm every Tuesday night for the next 20 weeks.  This coming Tuesday, Brendan will be serving Steak and Ale pie with horseradish mash and mixed vegetables at £7.40 before members discount, all members are able to take advantage of this so why not come along and enjoy an mid week evening out at the club. 

 

The Wedding fare was very successful last weekend, as a result, 2 couples have booked weddings and 2 more are giving serious consideration to using the club next year. Well done to Emily, Ian and all the staff who helped to make the event so successful.   

 

Please be aware that we are finishing happy hour, the last day this will be available will be Thursday 7th April. On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this promotion.
