Club Logo:  The Golf Committee has agreed that as of the 1st January 2011 the club shirts for matches and when representing the club will be pale blue in colour with the new Red Kite logo.  The Pro Shop is stocking a few of the new shirts so that members can try different sizes before ordering.  The Pro Shop will also have for sale Ball Markers and Pitch Repairers with the new logo.  In addition a Platinum Club Card will be issued to new Members and as the name suggests this is platinum coloured with the new logo.  If existing Members wish to exchange their Gold Card for a new Platinum card this can be done at a cost of £1.50.

 

I am pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of a new 55 inch Samsung LCD HD television that is now in the trophy room end of the players bar. On Monday of next week sky HD will be installed on the new television and the existing sky box will be relocated to the spiked bar which will enable us to show different channels at the same time. If that wasn't enough to attract you up to the club during the world cup watch out for details of the various promotions we will be running to help you enjoy the matches even more.

 

The club will be holding another New Members Weekend on the 12th and 13th June 2010, if you know of anyone interested in joining the club this will be an ideal time for them to come along and see what we have to offer. Please pass details on to either the Proshop or the office.

 

Events around the club: for those of you who enjoy the odd glass of wine you may be interested to know that the Co-Op are running a wine tasting evening at the club house between 7.30 pm and 10 pm on 30th June 2010, there is no charge and all members are welcome. On the 19th June 2010 the "Help for Heroes" charity are holding a Charity Night in the Luke Donald Suite. Tickets are £21.00 per person which includes a finger buffet and a live band. All proceeds will go to the charity, any member wishing to join should contact the organiser Denise Martin on 01494 562251.

 

The weather looks very good for the weekend, so I hope as many of you as possible get a change to enjoy the golf course.
