A warm welcome to Gordon Foster and Jez Hodges who have joined the club as Adult playing members and Ben Hodges who has joined as a Junior member since my last update.

 

I am pleased to announce that at the general meeting of Hazlemere Golf Club Limited on Tuesday night the shareholders present and voting by proxy approved resolution 1 that authorises the directors to sell part of the land owned by the club for the purpose of redevelopment as a gymnasium and the development of the new club house for the club.  The directors shall not proceed with the sale if in their discretion such a sale is not in the club's best interests.  As this project moves forward we will keep you informed of the progress.

 

I am also pleased to announce that Jane Doyle was unanimously voted in as Director of Greens and Dougie Vance unanimously voted in as Director without Portfolio.

 

This Sunday we will be having the Summer BBQ on the patio starting at 1:00 pm.  Everybody is welcome and Brendan has a fantastic menu to tempt all ages and appetites.  No need to book just turn up and have a great day.  If the weather is inclement then the BBQ will be served indoors.

Over the last 4 months the golf club has received price increases on its beers, sprits and wines. These increase have ranged from 2% on wines to between 4 and 6% on beers.  We have absorbed the increase to-date but unfortunately must now move our beer and wine prices to reflect these increases.  This increase will take effect from the 23rd of July.  From time to time we carry out price comparisons locally to ensure that our pricing is consistent and this will continue.

 

For sometime it would appear that our sprit prices have been out of line with the local market; we are currently carrying out a detailed review in this area and have therefore decided not to change these prices until this review is completed.
