On Sunday the 8th November the Club House was full of member's eager to see the Captain, Terry Coulson, start his year with a 'Drive In' on the 10th Tee.  Terry had invited the in coming Captains of the Ladies' Section, Olive Vance, the Veterans' Section, Ian Bogart, and the Junior Section, Joss Stanners, to join him in the Drive In.

 

 

The Captain, Terry Coulson, sent a great drive long and straight down the left hand side of the fairway - a distance of 219 yds!	The in coming Ladies' Captain, Olive Vance, sent her drive long, and straight down the middle - a taste of things to come!	The in coming Veterans' Captain, Ian Bogart, had a drive which will be remembered for many years to come!	The Juniors' Captain, Josh Stanners, sent his drive over the hill and very far away with the agility and inhibitions of youth!

 

The in coming Ladies' Captain and the Veterans' Captain will still have their Section's 'Drive In' as usual.  Emily Marler won the prize for guessing the length of the Captain's Drive and after the 'Drive In' many members stayed for a very convivial lunch in the Trophy Room.
