Summer Texas Scramble and BBQ

 
  
On Sunday the 25th July, 2010 the Summer Texas Scramble and BBQ was held at Hazlemere Golf Club.  76 members took part in the competition and friends and family joined the players for a BBQ afterwards.  The weather was hot and dry and this was reflected in the great scores recorded for the day.  As usual these events don't just happen and many thanks must go to all the people involved in helping make sure the day was a success.  So many thanks go to:-
  • Jean Carter, Daphne Pinner and Pam Wardrop for the registration desk and selling raffle tickets;
  • Russell and his green keeping team for presenting excellent greens;
  • Lisle, Joe and Conner for the BBQ and Bar Service;
  • Members for their generosity in raising £150 for the Captain's and Ladies' Captain's charities.
  • Chris Spencer for organizing the weather; and
  • Valerie King for organizing the competition.
It was also a special day for Janet Halson who had a Hole in One on the 17th - thanks Janet for the wine!!
